Sage Pastel Payroll latest update 2022 Update 1c is available for download

How do you process the Sage Pastel Payroll latest update?

  • Firstly download the link attached above, and “Run as Administrator”
  • Ensure that your Payroll program is closed and not in use
  • You can update the Full install above, no matter which version you are currently running
  • Once you have installed the update, you will have to run a legislative release to incorporate the new tax tables.
  • Now check your payslips (of those affected by the maximum threshold), that the new UIF contributions have been updated

Legislative Changes

Given that the changes below are for RSA users only

Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions threshold increase – Effective 1 June 2021

The maximum amount on which UIF contribution is calculated has increased from 1 June 2021 to R 17 712 per month. This gives a 1% monthly contribution of R 177-12, and R 40-87 for weekly contributions.

The previous maximum threshold was R 14 872 per month.

Some of the features included in previous Updates

  • Firstly Sage Pay has been re-branded as Netcash
  • While you can now book a consultant directly from Payroll now, under the Help tab
  • So that future unpaid leave will no longer activate the deduction in the current period
  • Given that the EEA2 report will no longer hang when it is generated
  • Ultimately the decrease of the MEIBC Admin and Dispute levies
  • Lastly Lesotho Tax Tables has been changed to introduce the Tax Credit
